Reflection

Overall, I think this intervention went really well. We were able to change a person’s life through physical health. It was one that helped Blake improve his fitness but through a very fun way. Therefore, this intervention turned out to be very successful. Campbell and I chose this type of intervention because we knew that our client was going to enjoy doing it which would motivate them a lot more to improve.

Client Feedback on the overall intervention: Overall I
truly do think that it was a good intervention and actually really helped me
get into mountain biking. Something we could have worked on was organization,
even though it was relatively organized but at times it seemed like we didn’t
have a plan on what to do next. Michael and Campbell were very good at conveying
information and I had learned a lot in the last 6 weeks. If I had to criticize
one more thing it would be how the place we were going to only had a limited
amount of tracks, to fix this we could go to different places.

If I was to change this intervention, next time I would start Blake’s
training off with an easier flatter part of trail. He began to struggle at the
start and it was quite a challenge for him to get up the hills. So if I were to
change the start I would change the complexity of the riding. Furthermore,
through the analysis of Blake’s feedback I would set out slightly longer
criteria for the weeks that did not take very long. For example, week 1 and
week 6 only required a ride through the trail so we were finished quite
quickly.

Through all of the interventions, I believe that we have changed Blake’s
life over 6 weeks. Through lots of hard work and effort that Blake put into
this intervention, he has achieved exceptional results. He has improved by a
whole 3:35; a massive success. Furthermore, Blake is still thinking about going
for mountain bike rides in the future and keeping up this sport showing that we
have changed his life through finding him an enjoyable new sport an hobby.
